Best ever? Not in my books. He threw too many errant passes, balls that were lofted more on hope than good decision-making. He was a fierce competitor, and this may have been the impetus behind those dubious pass attempts.

While I think one should be allowed to do a job they like for as long as they want to do it, there's something to be said for retiring while you still look good. Rather than having kids wonder why some stumbler in the outfield is so famous.
