Beauty Queen Reveals 'Salacious' Pics

For nearly two weeks, Miss New Jersey has been publicly dogged by an anonymous individual claiming to want to "clean up" the Miss America pageant by revealing "salacious" images of the current New Jersey crown wearer, Amy Polumbo. Polumbo struck back by going on The Today Show to reveal the pictures which have created this "controversy."

The pictures were formerly on Palumbo's personal facebook.com page. She initially announced in a press conference last week that she felt she was being black mailed by this purported individual, who claimed the name "The Committee to Save Miss America." Two New Jersey state pageant board members, including board member Mark Soifer, were previously shown the pictures. Neither board member felt they were provocative enough to remove Polumbo from her position as the reigning Miss New Jersey and soon to be contestant on the ratings desperate Miss America Pageant.

After Polumbo released the images publicly, the state board decided that the photos, while in bad taste, weren't enough to disqualify her from the competition. Here are the pics. I mean honestly. Publicity stunt anyone?

How Non-Salacious Can You Get?

These were the most non-salacious, salacious photos I think I've seen in awhile.  The boyfriend pretending to bite on one of her boobicles is puzzling not erotic and the rest of them are very, very tame.  So what was the big hub bub?   Colin seems to believe it was just a big publicity stunt put on by either a pageant official or Ms. Palumbo and I think he's onto something.

I think it might have been a publicity stunt carried off with the collaboration of Palumbo and pageant officials.  See you place a few lame photos on your facebook or myspace account pages then you complain someone is trying to blackmail you.  You know the pageant isn't going to take your crown away because they're in on it.  The reason for all of this?  Well, shall we say the Miss America competition, once the premier beauty contest in the US, has turned into the red-haired stepchild -- especially compared to Donald Trump's Miss USA pageant.  Hell, Miss America has a problem finding a home since they left Atlantic City and then they gotta get cracking finding a better broadcast platform than the local access cable status they've found themselves in.

Illegitimi non carborundum.

Yah, they probably are the committee to save miss america -- by spicing it up a bit...a very little bit. I'm sure someone (whether part of a conspiracy or not) saw the Trump scandal headlines splashed about and thought why shouldn't miss america get some of those headlines. It hardly surprises me that such an old timey, traditionally sexist organization can't change with the times. Not really a shame, either... So are the feminists responsible for the demise of miss america? in the same way that Reagan was responsible for the fall of the Berlin wall, I think so.

none

The photos were boring.

They could have at least made them 'controversial' in some non-sexual way.

She could have been smoking a cigar...

She could have been simulating sex with a giant costumed corporate mascot. i.e. grappling with Captain Crunch and Aunt Jehmimah
or
impaling the Burger King, Ronald McDonald, and Wendy with a spear in front of Whole Foods
or
bloody fist holding the severed head of the Snuggle bear high as she sits atop a dryer - mouth agape in hideous laughter + sensual delight
or
sobbing runny mascara tears over a dead cat in front of a bag of cat food with a large made in china sticker on it.

Sure - those photos would have sucked but at least they would have been somewhat more interesting than 'stupid snaps from a night at TGI Fridays' or wherever they were.

Controversy doesn't have to be girls gone wild type idiotic sleaze, but this publicity stunt was cooked up by brain dead assholes anyway for the brain dead people who pay attention to beauty contests.
