The Kucinich song was way cooler

Are you fucking kidding me?

That contrived bit of shit from team Clinton is in response to this contrived bit of meh from Obama that has the Internet's panties wet:

Here are direct links to the videos: Hillary video... Barack video.

5.00 (interesting)

So who thinks the Hillary4U&Me video really emanates from the Clinton campaign?  Seems to me it is either the work of enthusiastic but misguided supporters, or an elaborate psy-op from one of the opposing campaigns.

Also, it's 4 months old, but just made it big in the linkspace within the last 72 hours.

Looks like I was right:  Silicon Valley Executive Sticks Up for His Hillary Video

"I do agree that some of the Obama videos are better. But we have the better candidate by far," he wrote in an e-mail message. He added: "For all the naysayers, I'd like to see their YouTube music video."

He believes that the criticism is born of the antagonism some Obama supporters feel toward Clinton. And, far from being discouraged, he said the critics have inspired him: "It kind of makes me want to do another one."

Uh oh.

I think that the Hillary! team did this.  Why?  Well, these are the people who picked Fleetwood fucking Mac for their last prez campaign song.  Trolling for bland middle america while trying to evoke a veneer of hip?  Classic Clinton.  Shit, I'll bet you 5 bucks that Billy had a hand in the horn parts of that dreck.

That's why it almost has to be a rip-off. Had it been the Clintons, I don't think they'd have hesitated to throw Bill in there on his sax. Really, they could have gone it one better. Remember their classic American Beauty spoof? Hillary's Soprano's spoof (hey -- Journey reference!)? The Clintons could have done a full Simpson's spoof complete with Bill in the place of Lisa getting kicked out of band practice.

It is easy to buy small plaster models of what you think life is like.

I award you no points, and may God have mercy.

5.00 (funny)

What was up with the front row in that whole 'music' video? Were they a heavily intoxicated Happy Hands Club or American Sign Language interpreters with badgers down their pants? What were they going for there? Sympathy votes?

Jesus, the middle school kids and newly graduated sorority girls turned teachers at the stupid dances I occasionally chaperone have better coordination and skills... and they generally dance to Soulja Boy and the like. Worst. Campaign. Video. Ever.

I agree with the conspiracy theory that it was done by some idiots trying to make her look incompetent. Would not watch again.

It's perky, bouncy, uplifting ... everything the Clinton candidacy isn't.  I cringed when I heard the perky and bouncy song playing while we're watching someone placing flowers on the grave of a relative.  It harkens back to the heyday of the Jackson Five.  Tito wants A-B-C back.

Who fucking greenlights these things anyhow?

Illegitimi non carborundum.

Yeah, the editors have to do the youtube links.  I think that's on the list of things to eventually be fixed.

Ace - you have to use the "Edit Story" link that appears below a story once it's on the site (Next to the "Post a Comment" and "First New Comment" links).  If we work on the story through that link, we can insert whatever code we want and Scoop won't strip it out.  So if you're adding your own diary entry, you have to post the diary entry like you normally would, then go to "edit story" and just insert the code where you want it.  If you're adding it to a story in the Q, you don't need to wait until it's posted to the front page - you can add it whenever.  You can also edit a story once it's on the front page.  Give me a PM if you have questions, or try to find me in chat (if you say my name in chat I'm more likely to notice you're there - it makes my IRC client blink and then I'll remember to look at it).
