Now that they've got their domain back (after a fair bit of free publicity), Wikileaks has been going full steam ahead.  Granted, the bomb design is an old one, and most of this is public knowledge, but what if it wasn't?

How would we feel if someone posted US defense plans for protecting Taiwan from a Chinese invasion, for example?  Or a list of names and social security numbers of everyone in New Jersey?  Where do we draw the line?  Is it even technically possible to draw a line anymore?

none

It is an old design and not much of anything new. If it were something new and dangerous, I think that could cross the line from allowing the free flow of information to needing to protect and defend ourselves. That said, the fact that there are old designs out there would mitigate that line and our need to defend ourselves. If someone wanted to make a bomb, they could make a bomb.

Wikileaks exists on the premise that it is releasing information which, when public, serves the public good. It shines the light on things certain people want hidden but most don't. No one wants their social security number out there--except that guy on the advertisements for LifeLock(R).

It is easy to buy small plaster models of what you think life is like.
