5.00 (astute, astute)

But, Livni's got the tougher job.  She's got less than six weeks to form a coalition government with the Shas Party which is headed by an ultra-Orthodox rabbi who likens women to donkeys.  Special added bonus, he's the Jewish version of Pat Robertson as he believes Katrina was retribution from Yahweh.

Palin, by comparison, has the easier of the jobs; she's just got to hoodwink the American electorate.  And we all know how gullible they are.

Illegitimi non carborundum.

I've always liked Zippy's grasp of geopolitical issues.

It's the end of the world as we know it, and I feel fine

Compared to Sarah?

Or do you just dig women who wear spectacles?

Compared to most women. She's ugly not because I would prefer to look at a photo of Palin, but because I'd rather look at a blank wall than a photo of "Zippy." I asked "are you kidding" because I can't imagine that many men find her attractive.

Also notice that, as we teeter on the verge on the Next Great Depression, she's standing in front of the sign for the Hoover Institute.

5.00 (informative, informative)

The fundamental business of the country, that is, the production and distribution of commodities, is on a very sound and prosperous basis... There has been a tendency for wage increases and the output per worker has increased, all of which indicates a very healthy situation.
--- President Herbert Hoover, October 25, 1929, one day after the temporarily successful stock market intervention of financial companies, and two weekend days ahead of the real start of the stock market crash.
