Anderson Cooper announces, in e-mail message to Andrew Sullivan, "The fact is, I'm gay." New York Times bloggers yawn, "So what?

Yes, of course, YOU already knew, having read it in Out or something years ago. But will this news affect how anyone else thinks of Anderson Cooper or of CNN? Has Cooper abandoned any effort to get and hold conservative viewers by announcing his lifestyle publicly? Or has America gotten so used to gay people, especially in media, that this will be forgotten quickly?
