Disappearing Space Dust

Astronomers have noted the disappearance, over a mere two-year period, of the dust around a young star in the constellation Centaurus.  While they have proposed a couple of hypotheses as to what happened, they conveniently overlooked the possibility that somebody is gathering resources.

Maybe the dust is simply being redistributed to a star with significantly less dust.

If my guess-- that it was gathered into a Jupiter-sized mass by reverse chirality space dinosaurs and hurled Sol-ward at barely-subluminal speeds in the opening* salvo of mankind's first interstellar war-- is correct, we'll know soon.
