Internet activists had demanded the Obama Administration attempt to justify why its own Transportation Security Administration was flouting a court order and exposing citizens needlessly to nudity scanners. This was covered on Trees and Things by an intrepid journalist, yours truly. It now appears, according to EPIC, that the White House pulled the petition short of its expiry time and also briefly went offline for maintenance after it was discussed in the online magazine, Wired.
It's unknown whether or not the Trees & Things commenter who urged people to instead spend their time supporting the Empire of Japan is a shill for the current administration or merely unduly influenced by the Asian empire.
