Bringing Teh Political Crazy

Remember when the political loose wingnut factor used to restrict itself to anti-globalization rallies or really extreme third party get togethers in the US?  Well, it seems bringing teh political crazy is now mainstream.  Political crazy is now a regular feature of Republican rallies and it's not even found in the deep South - they're bringing teh political crazy in relatively staid places like Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

I spent a good portion of my Friday evening at a fund raiser at some banquet hall. You know, the ones everybody gets guilted into going to, or possibly for the open bar serving only wine in a plastic cup or Canadian beer by the pitcher. The good thing is the evening allowed for lengthy introspection after which I realized a 3rd party candidate has little to no shot in this country for the foreseeable future.

The U.S. presidential race tightened up Saturday when John McCain won the South Carolina primary, while Mitt Romney and Hillary Clinton (kind of) won the Nevada caucuses.

Usually a candidate garnering support from another party or enemy party operatives would be A Bad Thing, at the very least a head scratcher. Then why is an opposing political party boosting a Republican candidate in the race for the New Hampshire primary?

Rumors recently surfaced on the internet that the GOP portion of the highly popular "YouTube debate" will be delayed indefinitely. It was originally scheduled for September 17th.
