WSGWBD? What Should George W Bush Do?

That would be what should George Bush do once he's a former president?  This will come in a little over three months.  At that point, he could possibly rank as the worst president in US history (at least that's the the consensus of historians).  But, he'll be a fairly healthy 61-year-old with tons of executive experience.  If he's inherited his daddy's genes, he's probably got a couple more decades ahead of him and it's only fair to ask, what should he do with his time?

We've all heard of the phrase "giving of yourself for others." Stacey Fearnall is a person who lives by that credo. She believes in it so much the 36-year-old from Owen Sound, Ontario offered to shave her head in return for pledges to a local cancer charity. People pledged (CN)$2,700 and Stacey took the razor to her "long red locks." Then she showed up for work at Nathaniel's restaurant thinking she had done a good deed. If she was expecting to be congratulated for doing a bit for charity, she's disappointed. Stacey was told to leave work and not return for the rest of the summer.

Christmas is the season for giving.  At least that's what all the ads for the big box stores and retailers tell us.  Of course, what they mean is you should come on down to our store (or log onto our web site) and run right up to the limit on all that plastic in your pockets.  iPhones, Wii, X-Boxes, jewelry, oh well, you can find recommendations for stuff to give to those who probably already have too much anyhow throughout the media.  But, what if you want to just say no to the never-ending cycle of giving someone something they really don't need?  What I'm talking about is a variant of paying it forward, yule-style.  What to give and who to give it to?
