Those folks at MADD are going to be MAD after the results of a new study indicate those that like to get hammered drunk on a regular basis are likely to live longer than teetotaling jerks who think they are better than everybody else.

It's happened to all of us at least once. You're down to your last box of 12 gauge slugs and the undead masses are pounding on your door. Food and water are getting scarce and you regret buying the Old Glory Robot Attack Insurance without the Zombie Recovery Rider. You can't call for help because you used your Blackberry batteries up 3 hours after the power went down updating your face book. Well, CNN says you can avoid a slow painful death during a disaster if only you had an old school low power cell phone.

A poorly rated nursing home corporation may be headed for bankruptcy after a California jury awarded an aggrieved patient's daughter and others $677 million dollars for negligence. Cindy Cool said she'd show up to the home and find her father (who had Alzheimers and is now dead) wearing urine soaked clothes and that even with her presence she would have to wait 20 minutes for the understaffed facility to send somebody to change her dad into new clothes. She was part of a 32,000 person class action suit against the Skilled Healthcare Group Inc corporation.

The Libertarian Party sent a press release to its membership and national media organizations after its latest advertisement was summarily ejected from Face Book. It turns out the popular social media & networking website has a active campaign against pro-marihuana viewpoints.

Despite recent genetics studies saying that marrying a cousin may not be all that dangerous for society and some guy who wrote a book on the subject cousin marriage remains illegal in the majority of the United States. In fact, some states (such as Texas) have recently strengthened laws against this subject, taking a play out of Utah's playbook and making it a felony to have sex with a cousin, subject to 10 years in prison and a lifetime on the sex offender registry. Some people think these laws are a horrible idea and point out that even Jesus' parents were probably cousins.

The controversial founder of WikiLeaks, a website that publishes formerly secret government documents, has been charged by Swedish authorities with rape and molestation. Julian Assange was "arrested in absentia" for the case, which supposedly spans two instances. So far the only details are coming from bad translations of Swedish tabloids, which suggest two accusers.

Some justify it because it has always been medically approved. Others justify it because it is an article of religious faith or ritual belief. Others contend it is an effective weapon in the fight against AIDS. Others defend it because Mommy and Daddy did it to them, so they'll just do it to their kids. Then there are those who vehemently condemn it as unwarranted male mutilation. Apparently the last camp is winning the argument because, as the Center for Disease Control reports, circumcision rates for US babies have undergone a steep decline.

The US Customs and Border Patrol ripped an Israeli citizen/US National named Elias Abuelazam off a plane about to leave Atlanta for Tel Aviv. It turns out he is the suspected killer and serial stabber in a nationwide (and perhaps worldwide) string of attacks wherein he attacked people, usually blacks, for no reason. The attacker killed at least five people in Flint, Michigan before cops there realized a serial killer was loose, then promptly turned his attention to northern Virginia until he was captured.
