Conventional mortgage, rent, lease?  

I once almost got sucked up in a land contract a long time ago.  Upon reading the contract closely, just painting a wall could have got me thrown out on my ass, not to mention having to pay back taxes and property liens.

The US housing market has been on a roll for the last few years, to the point that housing prices in prime markets on the East and West Coasts have been at record highs. The prolonged boom, combined with historically low interest rates (which many feel fueled the boom) led many Americans to purchase their house with interest-only or sub-prime mortgages. This apparent over-extension led to many dire predictions, but the housing market continued to hold steady or grow, even through the increasing skepticism of the last year.

Will A Tsunami Of Foreclosures Sweep Over The American Real Estate Market?

Much has been written about the real estate bubble threatening to burst in various cities around the country.  But, if the Center for Responsible Lending (CRL), a major non-profit policy and research organization has it correctly, the next bubble to pop will be the foreclosure bubble.  According to the CRL, when that bubble pops, could cost 2.2 million Americans their homes.
